The Circle of Life

Every car Volvo design comes from a 'virtuous circle' of five key stages. Firstly, Vovlo start by analysing actual accidents to gain more knowledge of the complex mechanics of different types of accident. The conclusions help Volvo to formulate their own requirements (which are frequently more rigorous than the current legislation those of governements). Then Volvo new products are developed and thoroughly tested. Only then does the car go into production, out onto the road - and the circle begins again.
